WBTV Thursday morning First Alert forecast

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Another warm afternoon ahead for today before we gear up for another Friday with rain!

Temps this morning in the 50s & 60s will give way to mid 80s for highs this afternoon. There could be some more afternoon cloud cover, but the southwest breezes will still make for a warm day. A spotty shower is possible in the mountains this evening, but for the most part we'll stay dry.

Another frontal system will bring severe weather to parts of Mississippi and Alabama this afternoon. Unlike last Friday, we do not anticipate severe weather around here tomorrow. However, areas of rain with some embedded storms are likely, for our fourth Friday straight with wet weather.

Most of this clears by Friday evening meaning overall our weekend looks pleasant. Temps stay in the mid 70s Saturday, back to around 80° Sunday and dry both days.

Have a great evening!
