Police looking for help after man shot twice on Monday

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Police in Salisbury want to know if anyone in the public can help identify the person who shot a man twice in the stomach on Monday.

According to the report, Marquise Robinson of Old Wilkesboro Road had been out to dinner with his girlfriend and children on Monday night. His girlfriend said that about twenty minutes after she got home, Robinson called her to tell her that he had been shot and to meet him at the hospital.

Hospital workers called police when Robinson arrived. He had driven himself to the Emergency Department at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Police say Robinson had been shot twice in the stomach, and that it happened near the 1300 block of Tabernacle Street.

Officers went door-to-door in the area and did find people who heard the shots, but no one could offer any description of a person or vehicle that may have been involved.

Robinson is expected to be okay.
