CATAWBA COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A man wanted in connection with a stabbing at a McDonald’s in Hickory Monday night has been arrested.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. at the McDonald’s on Fairgrove Church Road, which is near I-40. Police said the 46-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Frye Regional Medical Center with stab wounds. She’s expected to be OK.

Richard Lenoir Church III, 45, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Church was identified as a suspect shortly after the stabbing.

Church is being held without bond.
