CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - As you head out the door this morning, there’s still a bit of light rain and drizzle around, with chilly readings in the 30s. I doubt there’s a lot of rain around for the balance of the day, though I wouldn’t expect much – if any – sunshine either. As for temperatures, today brings a difficult forecast. While the rain doesn’t look to add up too much, with a lack of sunshine, any warming will have to arrive by way of a steady southerly breeze.
It may take the bulk of the day before the Charlotte area (and points north/west) inch up to near 50°. Milder readings are likely in the mountains and south/east of I-85.
A little patchy rain or drizzle is possible tonight with readings near 50°, before warming into the 60s Tuesday ahead of our next cool front.
This front comes through with periods of rain Tuesday evening, maybe even a rumble of thunder in a few spots.
Behind it, we dry out with a couple of pleasant 60° days Wednesday and Thursday before a new wave of rain arrives on Friday.
Looking ahead, the weekend looks dry and seasonal with highs in the 50s.
Hope you have a great week!
