Car crashes into side of popular cafe in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - CMPD was dispatched to a popular cafe near Plaza Midwood after reports came through of a car having lost control and crashed into the business with customers still inside on Saturday afternoon.
Lupie’s Cafe, on Monroe Rd. between the Plaza Midwood and Elizabeth communities, sustained damages after a car travelling along the road swerved into the side of the building near the entrance.
No further information regarding injuries to the driver or the extent of damages to the building have been released at this time.
