4 injured in three-vehicle crash in Cabarrus County

MOUNT PLEASANT, NC (WBTV) - Four people were injured in a three-vehicle accident in Cabarrus County early Saturday afternoon.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, two vehicles were involved in a collision on NC Hwy 49 in Mt. Pleasant.
Officials say the crash that happened just before 1 p.m.
Four people were taken to the hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.
A vehicle driving east on NC-49 lost control and started turning sideways.
A second vehicle traveling behind tried to avoid the vehicle, but slid and the two vehicles collided.
This collision caused the second vehicle to go across the center line and crash into a third vehicle driving in the opposite direction.
The highway was closed for a couple hours and opened back up around 3 p.m.
