CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - This is an outtake – a beautiful outtake – from a new Charlotte calendar. All months show a local child who has fought or is fighting cancer.
Creator Marianna Furrer reached out because several #MollysKids are featured. She says she takes pictures “as a hobby” and has a daughter who battled Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma.
While at a recent childhood cancer tween support group at Levine Children's, she came up with this idea. She says ALL proceeds go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The photos for each month’s page are in that link. I’ll post a few more outtakes below in comments. (Ally Davis in this picture is a longtime one of our #MollysKids...)
Marianna said she spread the idea to local childhood cancer forums, and the final product is spreading quickly.
Some of the featured children are still receiving treatment; some have beaten it. Her daughter, Mia, is in the calendar -- she has been in remission for two years.
“We’ve put facts on the back of the calendar so you get to see not only the phenomenal children, but also some of the struggles families with childhood cancer have to face,” Marianna said. “It’s awesome how fast it has come together. I can’t believe it.”
ACTION. Can take any form.
**Editor’s note: This is about one of #MollysKids, children WBTV Anchor Molly Grantham follows closely on her Facebook page. It was first published there, which is why it’s written in a personal way. For years Molly has followed hundreds of kids with uphill medical battles. Find this story and updates on all #MollysKids here.
