CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - On Tuesday morning a cold front is draped across the Tennessee/North Carolina line. The front will begin to push into the NC piedmont area late Tuesday and then stall until Wednesday. This front will bring a chance for rains showers and certainly more cloud cover. However, this system does not look to be a prodigious rain maker.
As the front slides south and east of the area by Wednesday night, it will begin to usher cooler and drier air. Overnight lows on Thursday morning will dip into the forties… with sunny skies and highs in the mid-sixties on Thursday afternoon. There will certainly be a fall chill in the air for a change. And some of our lower valleys in the mountains may have to contend with some patchy frost.
Our next front arrives as we head into the weekend on Saturday. Rain chance climb to around 50 percent for Saturday night and Sunday morning. We will start looking at possible rainfall amounts later into the work week. But once again, some very chilly air is sitting behind this front. By Monday morning next week, lows may be dipping into the upper thirties.
Have a Great Tuesday!
