...from Vale, NC sent us this shot from a chilly early season Myrtle Beach. This picture was taken near the equinox, which serves to point something out. On the equinox, the sun rises directly in the east, and sets directly in the west. Since her shadow is so long, this is clearly very close to sunrise. That means her shadow is pointing almost perfectly to the east and west.
