Morganton closer to Little League win

Morganton, NC - (WBTV)   Two cities are left standing in the competition to host Little League's southeast headquarters.

It's between Morganton, and Warner Robbins, Georgia.

If Morganton wins, it could be a big economic boost for the city and Burke County.

If Little League chooses Morganton, a five-thousand seat stadium would have to be built, and at least one nationally televised game every year.

Morganton already has several million dollars committed to the project.

Little League considered 18 cities in six states. Officials say they will make a decision before the end of the year.
