Charlotte, NC - (WBTV)
If Sunday is any indication, Charlotte's newest dog park should be a popular spot. An official ceremony was held at Frazier Park in Third Ward.
Dozens of dog owners and their pets came out for the grand opening.
The dog park covers 1.3 acres, and has areas designated for big dogs and small dogs. There's also a place for dogs to drink fresh water.
Now the county operates five dog parks:
Frazier Park, 1201 West Fourth Street
McAlpine Creek Park, 8711 Monroe Road
Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Road, Cornelius
Reedy Creek Park, 2900 Rocky River Road
William R. Davie Park, 4635 Pineville-Matthews Road
All dog park fees were discontinued in July. No "pooch passes" or fees are required.
