Police have made an arrest in the case of a missing insurance inspector.
The owner of Dilworth Insurance, Michael Howell, is in jail charged with murder. Sally Rohrbach drove down from Raleigh Monday to audit his company and was last seen alive there Wednesday afternoon. Police believe she is dead but they have yet to find her body.
This weekend Bojangles workers spotted Rohrbach's car in the restaurant parking lot in Southend, less than a mile from Dilworth insurance.
Police searched her car Sunday night and hours later, arrested Michael Howell.
Dilworth Insurance is now closed and the door is sealed. Police are guarding the building.
Investigators are not releasing a motive in the case, but records show Howell may have been having trouble with his business.
Dilworth Insurance was suspended by the Secretary of State's office five years ago.
State Insurance officials are not talking about the complaint that brought Rohrbach here or what she found.
A spokesperson will confirm that Rohrbach never called to report that she felt uncomfortable. She was filling in on the job for another agent.
