The Ultimate Memorial Day Hamburger

The Ultimate Memorial Day Hamburger:

1 Pound                  80/20 Ground Beef

4 Ounces                Unsalted Butter

1 Ounce                  Chopped Garlic

Salt and Pepper     To Taste

2 Ounces                Hellman's Mayonnaise

1 Each                    Vineripe Tomato

4 Ounces                Spanish Onion

2 Ounces                Corn oil

1 Ounce                 Grain Mustard (optional)

2 Ounces                Gruyere Cheese (shredded)

2 Slices                  Gruyere Cheese

1 Each                    Kaiser Roll


1.)   Combine hamburger meat, butter, garlic, and salt + pepper in bowl.  Thoroughly mix

2.)   Shape into ball and insert shredded gruyere cheese.  Form into paddy making sure to fully

enclose meat around cheese

3.)  Julienne onion, and caramelize over medium heat with corn oil

4.)  Brown off hamburger on both sides on grill or in a hot non-stick pan.  Top with caramelized onions

and sliced gruyere cheese

5.)  Finish in 350 degree oven until an internal temperature of 145 degrees is reached

6.)  Toast Kaiser roll in 350 degree oven for 2-3 mintues

7.)  Spread mayonnaise over roll, and top with tomatoes.  Place burger on roll and enjoy!
