Hometown: Charlotte, NC
Family: Husband, Colin. Her parents and oldest sister also live in the Queen City.
Education: UNC-Chapel Hill Majored in Journalism and English. She also attended East Meck High School.
Career: Sharon came to WBTV in 2005 as a reporter, and soon became a fill-in anchor. She anchors the weekend shows on WBTV and WJZY. Sharon was a reporter in Columbia for several years, and worked on the local CrimeStoppers Board. She also spent time producing at another station in Charlotte before starting her reporting career. She feels committed to covering stories that impact our justice system, especially how repeat offenders cycle in and out of the courts.
Honors: Sharon has won awards from the SC Associated Press and SC Broadcaster's Association. She was also nominated for a regional Emmy for an investigation exposing the childcare system in South Carolina, and how it's regulated.
Hobbies: In her free time, Sharon loves gardening and going to their family farm in Anson County. She's also trying to keep up with all the girls in her book club!
