Apple Butter:
Ingredients:
Gala Apples 1#
Granulated Sugar 1/2 Cup
Lemon juice 1 Tabelspoon
Ground Cinnamon 1 Tablespoon
Water 1 Tablespoon
Allspice 2 teaspoons
Unsalted Butter, room temperature 1 #
Kosher Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Mrthod:
1.) Peel apples and remove core. Cut into 1/4 inch wedges and toss with lemon juice.
2.) In a medium-sized saute pan, Sweat apples with water and sugar until fork tender.
3.) Add spices and place mixture in a blender. Blend on medium speed until a fine puree is reached
4.) Slowly add the butter in increments of 1 Tablespoon at a time until all of the butter is incorporated
5.) Reserve for use. Can hold up to 4 days.
