Tennessee Jack Daniel's Rubbed Ribs
Serves 8
Sauce
2 cups tomato paste
2/3 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup distilled vinegar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons honey
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 T Jack Daniel's
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon black pepper
Mix all ingredients.
Dry Rub
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon celery seed
1 cup dark brown sugar
½ cup garlic salt
1/3 cup onion salt
½ cup paprika
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
Combine all ingredients.
Ribs
6 # spare ribs
Liberally rub ribs with dry rub. Splash some ribs with Jack Daniel's. Place on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 300* for 2 hours or until tender. Remove and drain. grill over a wood fire. Baste with the sauce. Coat the ribs well several times. Turn as needed. When ready cut ribs into individual pieces. Serve on a platter with your favorite slaw. Enjoy!!!!!
