Gangs 101: Additional Resources

The following is a list of groups in Mecklenburg County available to teenagers, parents or anyone who needs help or more information. If you'd like to get involved with our teens, many of these groups also welcome volunteers. All people and agencies featured in the special which ran Monday, October 30th, at 7:30pm, are included. Mayor's Youth Employment Program (MYEP)

This is a relatively new program. It works with at-risk students and helps promote success in school and life. Students who are screened and selected are given pre-employment training prior to being placed in a job with a host company in Charlotte.

Usually a summer job, employment will last eight weeks.
