CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) -

Carolina Beach police are asking for the public's help to locate a man suspected of robbing a bank Friday afternoon.

According to a news release from the Carolina Beach Police Department, a man in his late 20s or early 30s entered First Citizens Bank at 612 North Lake Park Boulevard, passed a note to a teller demanding money and fled on foot.

No weapon was displayed during the incident.

The bank robbery and an attempted robbery at the Hardee's on N. Lake Park Blvd. Thursday night are believed to be connected, according to the release.

Police say a woman entered the fast food restaurant around 7:30 p.m. and passed a note to an employee demanding money. When the employee left the counter to tell co-workers, the woman left the restaurant and fled the scene.

On Tuesday, Carolina Beach police released photos of the vehicle the suspects used to leave the scene. It was a black F-150 pickup with a German Shepherd in the bed. The tag number is unknown.

Anyone with information should call the Carolina Beach Police Department at 910-458-2540 or 911.
