Wilmington police identify victim in Thursday afternoon shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Officials with the Wilmington Police Department have identified a man who was shot multiple times Thursday afternoon.

According to a spokeswoman with the WPD, officers responded to the 2200 block of Klein Road near North 23rd Street around 1:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a gunshot victim.

When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old Joshua Miller of Winnabow suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Miller is listed in stable condition as of Friday morning.

No one else was hurt in the shooting.

Wilmington police are investigating.
