HARRISBURG, NC (WBTV) -

Around 1,000 gallons of low-level acid spilled across a road in Harrisburg Thursday morning.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. at Galvan Industries on Galvan Way.

By 9:20 a.m., the Harrisburg Fire Department said the leak was secured.

Employees apparently noticed a busted pipe and called authorities.

One person was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
