CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Hounds player Michael Ehrhardt has been nominated for Major League Lacrosse's Warrior Defensive Player of the Year.
He recently led the Hounds to their second best finish in franchise history and Team USA to a gold medal in the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship. It's an honor given to the athlete whose defensive contributions to his team were outstanding during the regular season.
He put up impressive numbers with eight goals which included three two-pointers for the Hounds this year marking a career high and leading all defensive players in MLL.
His 16 points was best among all defenders in the league, and his 43 ground balls was top-five among non-faceoff players. He also caused a team high 12 turnovers this season.
