Hurricanes Trade Skinner to Buffalo for Picks, Prospect

The Carolina Hurricanes, the parent club of the Charlotte Checkers, have traded forward Jeff Skinner to Buffalo in exchange for forward Cliff Pu and three draft selections.

The Canes will get  the Sabres’ second-round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft and Buffalo’s third and sixth round picks in the 2020 Draft.

Hurricanes President and General Manager Dan Waddell said “First and foremost, we thank Jeff for the impact he had on our franchise and our area, both on and off the ice. He’s a good person who has been an excellent representative for our team in the community throughout the past eight years.”
