CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The Charlotte Knights and Norfolk Tides were back in action Wednesday evening in game number three of their scheduled four-game set hoping to dodge the bad weather in the area at BB&T Ballpark like they did successfully Tuesday night.
It was not pretty early for the home team with the visitors going deep twice, once in the first and again in the 3rd inning for a 3-0 lead.
But they were not able to escape the inclement weather with rain and lightning arriving at the ballpark around 8:30 p.m.
They'll resume the suspended game tomorrow at 6:05 p.m. with the Tides up 3-0 in the bottom of the 3rd with one out.
They'll complete that game, to be followed by the originally scheduled series finale after a 30 minute intermission.
Tickets from Wednesday's game can be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any remaining regular season home games the rest of this season.
