CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The Charlotte Hornets announced their 2018-19 preseason schedule Wednesday as they look ahead to a new era under General Manager Mitch Kupchak and head coach James Borrego. 

The Hornets ties to the Tar Heels with Kupchak and owner Michael Jordan is evident with their first home preseason game being played in Chapel Hill, NC at the Dean Smith Center September 28 at 7:30 p.m. against Boston.

The Hornets next game is on the road when they return the favor and play at Boston September 30 at 6 p.m. at the TD Garden.

October 2 marks another home game for the Hornets and this time they play at the friendly confines of the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

October 8, they’re back in the Spectrum Center at 7 p.m. this time taking on the Chicago Bulls.

The Hornets wrap up the preseason on the road October 12 at 7 p.m. at the American Airlines Center taking on the Dallas Mavericks.
