Three rushed to hospital after shooting in east Charlotte, shooter on the loose

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Three people were injured in a shooting in east Charlotte Saturday afternoon

According to Medic, the incident happened in the 7100 block of Snow Lane.

Emergency officials said one of the three people was a juvenile who was treated for life-threatening injuries and taken to Carolinas Medical Center.

The other two people were adults who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, were treated on the scene and taken to the hospital.

There was a large family presence in the area where the shooting happened.

A police source says the shooter is on the loose and no arrests have been made.

The source says extra CMPD officers have been requested at the hospital due to a large amount of family expected to show up.

This is an ongoing, active investigation.

There's no word on what happened in the shooting and no further information was released.
