DALLAS, NC (WBTV) - A non-regulatory Boil Water Advisory that was issued in the town of Dallas in Gaston County Wednesday was lifted on Friday.
Dallas residents were advised to boil all water used for human consumption, including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation, or use bottled water.
Dallas officials said a treatment technique failure was detected in water samples collected from the water system serving the town. This was due to a failure in the treatment technique used in the process.
As a precaution until the treatment technique has been corrected, the Boil Water Advisory was issued.
The advisory was lifted on Friday and officials said residents could resume normal activities.
