HARRISBURG, NC (WBTV) - Lightning struck a home in Harrisburg Sunday evening.
According to the Harrisburg Fire Department, the incident happened in the 8200 block of Laurel Oak Court.
Officials said the lightning strike left damage inside the home.
Crews said the homeowner reported "entire house lit up" and they soon smelled smoke.
Lightning reportedly hit the first floor bedroom knocking over nightstands and damaging sheetrock.
Crews located singed wood and insulation but no fire damage.
There were no fire conditions or reported injuries.
