CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Carolina Panthers' Sir Purr has won Mascot of the Year and Video of the Year, the team announced on Thursday.

Sir Purr was on fire throughout this past season earning the admiration of peers around the league.

The Carolina Panthers posted this tweet with a picture of the Cats Mascot late Thursday afternoon:

Pro Bowl Kicker Graham Gano is one of Sir Purr's biggest fans and shared a message after hearing he had won the awards

"Congratulations to Sir Purr! There is no other mascot that I would rather have squeaking their paws in my ears while I warm up on the sideline," Gano wrote on Twitter. "There's also the occasional, but always 'accidental,' knocking the ball off my tee on the sidelines. You're the best, Sir Purr."
