ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A Rock Hill man has been charged after, police say, he was naked at a community pool Tuesday afternoon.
According to Rock Hill police, John Carfarella is accused of lying naked at a community swimming pool located in the Sweetwater Plantation neighborhood. A man claims he was at the pool with his children when Carfarella was wringing out his bathing suit in the nude.
The man claims Carfarella then sat on the chair, while naked, and allegedly began to move "his hand in an up and down fashion, near the groin area" police say.
When the man confronted Carfarella about putting clothes on cause there were children in the area, Carfarella allegedly said: "They can't even see me, they're across the pool." Carfarella reportedly told police that he was sitting down on a chair, naked, with a towel covering his waist cause he was changing into dry shorts, officers say.
Carfarella says there was no one at the pool when the incident occurred.
He was charged with indecent exposure.
