CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are conducting a homicide investigation after a 29-year-old man was killed in northeast Charlotte Tuesday.
The investigation began when a person walking saw the victim, identified as Philip Patrick Young Jr, lying in the doorway of a home on the 500 block of Camrose Drive near The Plaza and Eastway Drive.
CMPD said Young was pronounced dead at the scene but did not give further details.
There is no word how the victim may have died and no possible motive has been released.
Police were canvassing the area to determine if there were any witnesses.
