Wanted teen accused of cutting off electronic monitor device, last seen in southwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police are looking for a teen who was last seen in southwest Charlotte and is wanted on multiple charges.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, 19-year-old Cordell Peters is wanted for multiple counts of breaking into a vehicle, financial card theft/fraud, larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny, conspiracy to commit felony, damage to property and interfering with an electronic device.

On Sunday, Peters reportedly cut of his electronic monitor device, police say. He was last known to be in the area of Short Hills Drive.

Peters was court ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pre-trial release, according to police.

The suspect weighs 180 pounds and is around 5-foot-9.
