The fact that Andrew Moritz is playing professional baseball is amazing considering the fact that in high school, he was pretty much an after thought.
The former Providence High star only had 1 scholarship offer and that was to UNC Greensboro.
But he made the most of that opportunity as he led the Southern Conference in hitting each of his 3 years he was there and had a career batting average of .406.
Just last month, he was picked by the Atlanta Braves in the 6th round of the Major League Baseball Draft.
He is now 13 games into his professional career in rookie ball with the Danville Braves and is already hitting .302.
Hard work truly has gotten him in this position but he knows he didn't get here all on his own.
