Two people were injured after a tractor trailer overturned on I-40 in Burke County, closing one eastbound lane of traffic Sunday evening.
The incident happened on Interstate 40 between Exit 107 and 108 near Drexel.
Highway Patrol says traffic was congested and the tractor trailer tried to avoid a truck in front of him. swerved and turned over. He also hit the truck.
Both the tractor trailer driver and the truck driver were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The truck was carrying chicken meat so they officials were clearing that up.
The accident appears to have caused considerable damage to the guard rail in the median of the highway. Highway Patrol says the guardrail will have to be replaced.
Highway Patrol, four tow trucks, two backhoes and a lot of people were seen on the scene trying to clear the highway.
One lane is open as crews clean up but is expected to be temporarily closed while officials upright the trailer.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
