ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A 30-year-old woman is accused of driving under the influence in Rock Hill, with two kids in the vehicle.
According to a Rock Hill police report, officers received a call about an impaired driver on Crown Point Lane who was in a gray Chevrolet Suburban around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. An officer then initiated a traffic stop and pulled over the driver, identified as Jessica Renee Norton.
An officer found two children inside the vehicle who were both not properly restrained, the police report states.
The responding officer says Norton was "very lethargic" and appeared "very disheveled and somewhat disoriented." The report claims the officer then asked Norton to step out of the vehicle to perform several field sobriety tests but she failed.
She was charged with driving under the influence, child endangerment, driving under suspension and failing to properly restrain a child passenger.
