Knights lose finale at home against Durham Thursday 6-3

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The Charlotte Knights hosted Durham in the finale of their mid-week, Fourth of July, two-game series Thursday at BB&T Ballpark.

The White Sox top pitching prospect Michael Kopech gave up four runs on three hits over three innings.

He did strike out six batters to keep his International League lead in that category.

Jose' Rondon hit a two run homerun for the Knights which was his 9th of the season.

He's gone deep five times over his last 12 games. His nine home runs has tied him for the team lead with Matt Skole..

Durham won 6-3 splitting the two game series.

Charlotte starts a weekend series at Gwinnett Friday night.
