Family of four displaced, firefighter suffers burn to hand in Charlotte house fire

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A family of four is displaced and a firefighter suffered a burn to the hand in a house fire in Charlotte Thursday.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the incident happened in the 7100 block of Rockwood Forest Lane.

At least 23 firefighters responded to the fire and controlled it in 15 minutes.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police confirmed that a firefighter suffered a minor burn to the hand. 

The firefighter is okay and CFD says no other injuries were reported.

The fire originated in garage and when firefighters arrived, there was heavy fire. 

The cause is still under investigation and no further information was released.
