MAIDEN, NC (WBTV) - A man who was wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Winston-Salem was arrested in Lincoln County Wednesday night.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Roberto Javier Polanco Osorio, of Charlotte, was wanted for an attempted armed robbery that happened at a home in Winston-Salem on Friday. He was wanted on the charges of felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony first-degree burglary.
Osorio was reportedly driving a Hyundai Sonata, deputies say.
Deputies said they learned that Osorio was possibly at a home on Falcon Ridge Road in Maiden. The sheriff's office says deputies arrived at the home around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night and found the wanted vehicle. Deputies say four people then came out of the home, except for Osorio.
When deputies went into the home they reportedly found the suspect hiding in a back bedroom, deputies say.
He was arrested and placed in the Harven A. Crouse detention Center without bond. Deputies say Osorio was turned over to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on Thursday.
