MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - Officials say the parents of a 2-year-old girl were arrested after the child was left in a hot car as they shopped Thursday afternoon.
According to the Town of Mooresville, the incident happened at a Verizon store in Mooresville.
Officials say they responded to a call for a child being left in a hot car at the business.
Upon arrival, officials discovered that a 2-year-old girl was left in the car while her parents went into the business.
Both the child's mother and father were arrested.
Police have not released any information on charges or identified the parents in this case.
