WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

As a low pressure system continues to spin over Florida, moisture of tropical origin will continue to bolster humidity levels and support showers in the Carolinas. If you have outdoor plans, it's generally a good idea to keep them intact in this kind of pattern. But it's also a good idea to have a strong "Plan B". Your WECT Weather App's interactive radar function may come in handy! Your forecast for...

THURSDAY: Expect clouds and limited periods of steamy sunshine. Rain and thundershowers could pop out of the humid air at just about any place and any time. Temperatures will mainly operate in the 70s under clouds and in any times of and places rain but even a quick interval of sun could allow for a brief spike to the 80s. South breezes will flow at mainly 5 to 15 mph speeds.

FRIDAY, THE WEEKEND, AND EARLY NEXT WEEK: 24-hour wash-outs are unlikely but mostly cloudy skies are likely to deliver intermittent rain and thunder. Multi-day rain tallies of 2, 3, or 4 inches are possible. Expect stifling humidity but moderate temperatures - 70s and 80s - through the period. Odds for rain are gauged at 60% Friday and Saturday and 40% Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
