BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WNCN) -

Three co-workers from Fayetteville died in a wreck Wednesday morning in Bladen County, the Highway Patrol confirmed.

A car and an 18-wheeler carrying chickens collided around 6:46 a.m. at the intersection of US 701 and US 210.

Angela Pate Varnam, 56, of Fayetteville, was driving her coworkers east on U.S. 210 when she failed to stop at a stop sign, the Highway Patrol said. Her vehicle hit the 18 wheeler and went underneath the trailer.

The trailer had minor damage and the truck driver wasn't injured.

Varnam and her two co-workers were killed at the scene, according to troopers.

Antonio Joshua Rousseau, 20, of Fayetteville, was riding in the front seat. Kendall Ronald Joiner, 43, of Fayetteville, was riding in the back-left passenger seat.

The Sanderson Farm truck was driven by Maurice Sinclair, 50, of Lumberton. He was going south on U.S. 701.
