Another mass school shooting

Hello everyone.  This is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom, getting ready for our 11:00 broadcast.

Tonight, we're learning about the alleged killer of 17 students and adults at Douglas High in south Florida.  Authorities say the shooter is 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who'd been expelled for disciplinary reasons.  The sheriff says he reportedly used an AR-15 with countless magazines.

A missing 4-year old girl from near Charleston, was found safe in Alabama after being abducted by a man police are now searching for.  They have issued a sketch of the suspect they'd like you to see.

In the first 45 days of this year, Rock Hill police say there have been 64 reported car break-ins.  Most of the vehicles were unlocked.  One woman tells us her 16-year old daughter had her wallet stolen with cash and her ID.  Surprisingly, that wallet showed up on her front step the next day.

When NBA star and Charlotte product Steph Curry announced he was selling his home in Waxhaw, we wondered what the inside of $1.55 Million home looked like.  Tonight, we'll take you on a tour.

And here's an interesting fact—today was both Valentine's Day and Ash Wednesday.  It's the first time they both fell on the same day in more than 70 years.
