For the third time this season, Davidson’s Peyton Aldridge has been voted Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Aldridge shares this week’s honor with Rhode Island’s Jared Terrell.
In the Wildcats’ 83-73 win over St. Bonaventure, Aldridge scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. In addition, the senior forward went 7-of-11 from the floor, drilled three 3-pointers and made all eight of his attempts from the line.
Aldridge, who leads the team in scoring (20.1) and rebounding (7.0), has reached double figures in 26 straight contests dating back to last season.
This is Aldridge's seventh career weekly honor.
Winners of five straight, Davidson (10-7, 5-1 A-10) returns to the hardwood Tuesday with a 7 p.m. nationally-televised contest at Dayton.
