Deputies: Denver man wanted for stabbing girlfriend

LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

A man accused of stabbing his girlfriend with a knife is being sought. 

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says 30-year-old Wade Wallace Doering II is wanted for stabbing his 25-year-old girlfriend in the foot and shoulder Tuesday night. 

It happened in the 8100 block of Optimist Club Road in Denver. 

Someone picked Doering up in a red pickup truck, possibly headed to Spartanburg, deputies say. 

The woman went to CHS-Lincoln for treatment. 

Doering faces charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony first-degree kidnapping.
