CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A man is wanted for reportedly robbing a north Charlotte business Monday morning and attempting to rob a west Charlotte business last month.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a man robbed a Family Dollar on Sunset Road around 10:43 a.m. Monday morning. An employee told police that the man reportedly "implied he was armed." The man stole money from the register and then fled from the scene on foot, police say.

Police believe the same man is accused of attempting to rob a Rite Aid on Freedom Drive on Dec. 13. Officers say the man took off empty-handed during the December robbery attempt.

The robber is described as a black man in his 20s who was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
