MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

Two men are accused of stealing tools and electronic items totaling over $1,000 from multiple vehicles in Iredell County.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call of "suspicious males" in the Whippoorill Road area in Mooresville on Friday. When deputies arrived, they reportedly found the two men near a home in the 200 block of Whippoorill Road but they allegedly fled from the area on foot.

After a short foot chase, 24-year-old Cody Dean Bogan and 22-year-old Armand Tyler Payne were arrested. Deputies said the men had reportedly taken the stolen items out of a tool truck and another vehicle that was located at the home.

Both men were charged with two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of larceny. Deputies say Bogan was reportedly identified as a suspect from a breaking and entering that occurred in December. Bogan received an additional larceny charge in connection with the December incident, the sheriff's office said.

Both men were given a $10,000 secured bond.
