HUNTERSVILLE, NC (WBTV) - A broken sprinkler pipe caused multiple floors to flood at an apartment in Huntersville Sunday night.
According to the Huntersville Fire Department, the incident happened in the 10000 block of Grobie Way.
The flooding started after a pipe broke above a third floor apartment and extended to the first and second floors. Firefighters worked to stop the water and minimize damage.
Crews temporarily shut down the water and power to the affected units until they stopped the flooding.
They used salvage covers to prevent some damage to lower floors.
There's no word on extent of damage or how many people were affected in this incident. No injuries reported.
