MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Mecklenburg County has improved its online court calendaring system, which is now available on mobile devices.
The system, Court Calendar Version 3.0, is a 24-7 tool that sends updates via email.
"With this functionality, users have the ability to schedule court hearings in Superior and District Civil cases, as well as domestic relations cases in Family Court," county officials say.
The system also sends an email notification of scheduled events to parties in the case. Users will still have the ability to update the status of their cases on motion and trial calendars, as well as receive email notifications of changes to calendars they've subscribed to.
Court Calendar 3.0 provides a real-time view of the calendar and parties can see available motion, hearing, and event slots for scheduling.
The calendaring system will continue to be available through Justice Initiatives' website here.
"Now that this latest version has been implemented, with proper utilization, it will vastly improve access to court services for attorneys and their clients, markedly increase the efficiency of scheduling transactions, and greatly raise the productivity of my office," said Charleston Carter, Trial Court Administrator.
