Dog struck by bullet during west Charlotte convenience store armed robbery

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - No one has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store in west Charlotte Wednesday night.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the robbery occurred at an Xpress Mart on Glenwood Drive at Interstate 85 around 11 p.m. Police say a man stole cash from the register and fired at least one shot, striking an employee's dog.

Officers say the robber fled from the store on foot. Police say no one was hurt during the robbery.

No other details were released.
