CATAWBA COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A Burger King in Catawba County was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after several employees complained of headaches.
Crews started working on gas lines to the fast-food restaurant, located on Highway 150 at Highway 16.
At least seven employees said they had a headache.
Sherrills Ford Fire Chief Rick Davis said, "7 were evaluated but none were transported."
Officials say when they arrived there, test meters did not show any trace of gas but several people were complaining of headaches.
The restaurant was cleared as officials looked for a problem inside.
By late Tuesday afternoon, fire crews cleared the scene and one restaurant worker told WBTV that the issue had been isolated and would be fixed Wednesday morning.
By nightfall, some employees were seen inside cleaning up. Officials at the restaurant would not give details as to what the problem was.
Employees were told to return in the morning and the restaurant could reopen by Wednesday afternoon.
No customers were affected.
