CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - You can't say it enough, don't drink and drive this holiday weekend. Safety is a main concern at Lenny Boy Brewing and they have been constantly sharing that same message.

All things bottled and brewed can be found at Lenny Boy Brewing in South End.

Townes Mozer is the owner at Lenny Boy Brewing and says they're not only passionate about adult beverages, they also care about building a stronger city by giving back to those in Charlotte.

"We're really involved with community a lot with charity events and non-profit work," Mozer says.

The brewery is ending 2017 with plans to ring in 2018 with a New Year's Eve party.

"Really it's to celebrate the past and the future and we've got some really exciting things coming up in 2018. It's the year of what we call Lenny Lenny!"

Mozer adds his bar's sense of caring will continue during the time of celebration. He and the rest of the bar workers are set to make sure no one puts themselves in a terrible position by drinking and driving.

This is a holiday that will have more police officers out and about due the rising chances of number of alcohol related car accidents because of the celebrations.

"We want everybody to drive and ride safe so we do suggest Uber and Lyft especially for New Year's Eve."

Mozer says he just wants everyone to step into the new year on the right foot.

"We're pushing as best as we can."
